Living with Undiagnosed Pelvic Pain

I am over 65 and am currently living with undiagnosed pelvic pain and severe constipation. Doctors have been unable to identify the cause(s).

Have they checked if you have endometriosis?Sounds like it could be takes them on average about 7 years to get a doctor to diagnose people. I applied 17 times before l got disability. It’s been 25 years since my last surgery and l need something. MRI on Wed. I pray they find something they could just snip

I have both the same issues. Did you ever find treatment for it that helps? I’d love to hear if anything worked for you!

Dudashen,

I have had pelvic pain 18 years that’s undiagnosed and within the last year the constipation began…

Have you found any answers or received relief?

Have you met with a pelvic pain specialist? I’ve had chronic constipation as long as I can remember and even though I have been prescribed miralax my whole life, I now know that is not the problem - it seems to be directly related to my pelvic floor and possibly endometriosis. I am meeting with a pelvic pain specialist at PRM in Manhattan next week.

I hope it goes well for you!
I will have my 5th visit with PRM tomorrow n Atlanta tomorrow.
No relief from my chronic pain yet but it’s been 18 years so I know it will take time.

I’m so happy you’re being seen there! Yes, PRM actually published research that proves the longer we suffer with pelvic pain and symptoms, the longer it takes to get relief – but we will find it! <3

That makes perfect sense. I’m not expecting this to go away overnight. I’m just glad to finally be in the area that’s the source of the pain!
I hope you get some relief!!
